Each of these devices has at least one distinctive feature that makes it stand out. The Innokin Trine has a removable and recyclable battery. The SMOK Propod is simple but powerful, and the Aspire Flexus Q has an extremely fast charging time. All three devices also look absolutely fantastic, which means that you’re going to have a pretty difficult decision on your hands if you’re in the market for a new pod system.
• As of now, your decision has just become a bit tougher because the new Voopoo Argus G2 gives all three of those pod systems a serious run for their money. In addition to being arguably the best-looking device of the lot, the Argus G2 is perhaps the most feature-filled device in the entire category of thin-and-light pod systems. It also has AI, so it must be good!

How Much Does the Voopoo Argus G2 Cost?
The Voopoo Argus G2 kit costs £24.99 and includes the device along with two pods, a charging cable, a lanyard and an instruction manual. The Argus G2 works with all Voopoo Argus pods, which cost £7.99 per three-pack. Although you can get plenty of use out of your pods if you use e-liquid that’s not heavily sweetened, I suggest adding at least one box of replacement pods to your order to ensure that you won’t be caught off guard if your last pod burns out prematurely.

The Argus G2 has an extremely slim profile for a full-featured pod mod. With a power range of 30 watts, adjustable airflow and multiple sub-ohm coil options, this tiny pod system definitely has the muscle to satisfy a cloud chaser.
All of the devices and pods in the Argus series are interoperable, so if you already have a favourite Argus pod, it’ll work with the Argus G2.
The Argus G2 is one of the only pod systems on the market that supports pods with either built-in or removable coils. Some people want their pod systems to be as simple and convenient as possible, and others prefer the lower cost using a device with a replaceable coil. With the Argus G2, you don’t have to choose.
The new Argus pod has a side-mounted filling port that allows you to refill the pod without removing it from the device. In comparison with the previous Argus pod, the new pod is easier to fill and more leak resistant.
The Argus G2 has arguably the nicest-looking screen of any small pod system. It’s large and bright, and it features three different animations – one for each of the device’s three modes – that appear as you vape.
In addition to a “Smart” mode that chooses the settings for you based on the resistance of the installed pod, the Argus G2 has a wattage-based vaping mode with two selectable coil preheating settings: Super and Eco. The Super mode gives the coil plenty of extra oomph to kickstart the vapour production, whereas the Eco mode is smoother.
How Does the Voopoo Argus G2 Compare to the Argus G?
If you already own the Voopoo Argus G, is it worthwhile to upgrade to the Argus G2? I’d have to give that question a big “yes” if you care about the way your vaping device looks. Functionally, the Argus G and G2 are very similar to one another. The Argus G2 does have a wider power range, reaching a maximum of 30 watts compared to the 25 watts of the Argus G. Otherwise, though, the two devices are almost identical in terms of what they can do, and both devices work with the full range of Argus pods.
The real difference between the two devices is the way they look. The Argus G2 is such an improvement visually that it makes the Argus G look positively outdated in comparison. My subjective opinion is that the Argus G2 is absolutely worth the upgrade based on that alone.

How to Use the Voopoo Argus G2
Like all Voopoo vaping devices, the Argus G2 includes a printed instruction manual that’s helpful but a bit sparse. I’ll fill in the blanks here with some information about how to use the Argus G2 and how to fix any occasional problems that may arise.
How to Charge the Argus G2
Charge the Argus G2 by connecting it to your computer using the included USB-C cable. While the device charges, you’ll see a bubble animation along with an estimate of how long the charging process will take. When the battery meter reaches “100%,” you can disconnect the device.
How to Fill the Argus G2 Pod
To fill the Argus G2 pod, open the silicone plug on the side of the pod and add your e-liquid through the filling hole. Remember that when you’re using a new pod, you should always wait several minutes before vaping to ensure that the vape juice has absorbed completely into the coil.
If you’re using one of the original Argus pods, you’ll find the silicone plug on the bottom half of the pod and will need to remove the pod from the device to access it.
How to Vape with the Argus G2
In keeping with the Argus G2’s slim-and-light design, it uses just one fire button for all functions. Here’s how to use the device.
• Turning the device on: Press the fire button five times.
• Changing the vaping mode: Press the fire button twice to open the menu. Tap the fire button to choose the desired mode. Hold the button to confirm it. Tap the button to select the “Exit” option and hold the button to close the menu.
• Accessing other functions: Press the fire button five times. Tap the button to select the desired option and hold the button to confirm it. This menu allows you to turn the device off, lock the device, reset the puff counter and turn the light on and off.
• Changing the wattage: Press the fire button three times. Tap the button to adjust the wattage and stop pressing the button to confirm. The adjustment mode exits automatically after a few seconds.
How to Fix Problems with the Argus G2
Since the Argus G2 has a screen, it should display an error message if it isn’t working. Here’s what the error messages mean and what you can do about them.
• Time Out: This message means that you’ve exceeded the Argus G2’s automatic puff limiter. The Argus G2 has a five-second puff timer, so you’ll need to keep your puffs shorter than that.
• Check Atomizer: This message means that the Argus G2 can’t detect the connected pod or that the pod’s resistance is abnormally high or low. Check under the pod for a leak and clean the device with a paper towel and/or cotton swab if necessary. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, replace the pod or install a new coil.
• Low Power: This message means that the battery is dead. Charge the battery.
• Temp High: This message means that the internal temperature of the Argus G2 is too high. Move the Argus G2 to a cooler environment and wait a while before vaping again.
• Not Working and No Error Message: Press the button five times to turn the Argus G2 on. If that doesn’t work, connect the charging cable and see if the screen comes on. If the device still isn’t working, try using a different charging cable. You can also try charging the Argus G2 with a different power source. Make sure that the charging port isn’t clogged with dust or lint.

The list of the best vapes continues to get longer and longer, and I’d have to say that the Voopoo Argus G2 definitely belongs there. If you’re currently using a beginner-oriented device and are looking for something a bit more capable, I think you’ll be very happy with the Argus G2. Between the 30-watt power range, adjustable airflow and wide selection of pods and coils, you should have no trouble finding a vaping configuration that suits you even if you’re fairly demanding about performance. Combine the excellent capabilities of the Argus G2 with the sleek and attractive design, and you’ve got a real winner.
